Stewardship Ministries Open House

The WRA Stewardship Ministries Team is hosting an OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday, May 13, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lakewood Congregational Church, 1375 W. Clifton Blvd., Lakewood, Ohio 44107. Pastors and stewardship committee members are invited to attend and meet the Stewardship Team. You'll have an opportunity to look over the many Stewardship resources that are currently available and enjoy some refreshments. Doris R. Powell, author of “Stewards in the Household of God”, will be on hand to talk about this new, practical resource for holistic year-round stewardship and will be doing a presentation at 4:00 and 6:00pm.

WCLV - WRA Church Choir Competition

The WCLV and the United Church of Christ will cooperate in lauching the first ever regional church choir competition, culminating in the final rounds at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in Tremont, May 9 and 10th. 

The goal of this competition is excellence in choral singing and diversity in styles.  The repertoire will include not only western classical music but also the tradition of gospel and other genres.  Choirs will be judged on their technical ability, their musicality and their work as an ensemble.  First prize will be $1,000.  The five runners-up will also receive cash awards.
