Interim Association Minister

The Rev. Donna Brooks is the Interim Association Minister for the Western Reserve Association, Ohio Conference, UCC. She came to ministry after a long career as a nurse and administrator. Raised in Wyoming, she is a graduate from Cornell University and Methodist Theological Seminary. Donna has four grown children and two grandchildren, all of whom bring great joy!
Finance Director

In addition to being Finance Director for WRA, Carolyn also works in that capacity for the Ohio Conference and provides financial services to the Eastern Ohio Association. Carolyn has a BS in Accounting and a MBA in Human Resources. She has been with WRA for ten years. Carolyn and her husband Arthur Willis have one son.

Office Manager and Search & Call Coordinator

Machelle provides support for both associations' Council and Department of Ministry, is placement coordinator for the Search and Call process and provides administrative support for the Partner's in Ministry program. Prior to joining the EOA/WRA staff, Machelle provided office management and administrative support for St. John's UCC in Dover for 12 years. Sher lives in Dover and has been married to Jed Miller since 1982. They have one daughter.
Minister for Stewardship, Education
and Youth

Margaret graduated from Defiance College with a degree in Christian Education and Music. She served 10 years at Old South Church in Kirtland, Ohio as their full-time director of Christian Education where she learned to love youth ministry. Margaret helps both the EOA and WRA network effectively by leading and working with numerous youth programs, stewardship events and other workshops.

Cheryl grew up in Akron, OH. She was a member of Williard UCC most of her life and is currently a member of Bethany UCC in Cuyahoga Falls. Cheryl has served as Sunday School teacher, organist/choir director and active with missions. She is a graduate of The University of Akron with a BA in Mass Media-Communications and has also worked in wide area networking. Her hobbies include genalogy and working with stained glass.
Director, Gerry's House Resource Center

Jenei has been in ministry for over a decade. She has completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Master's of Divinity degree, a Master's of Sacred Theology, and currently in process to complete her PhD in Biblical Studies focusing on Hebrew Bible. She is a nationally licensed Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrator and Michigan Certified Assisted Living Administrator. She has done extensive research to advocate for the unique and historically invisible needs of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) older adults and lectured in 2010 in Michigan on these concerns. Jenei is passionate about justice issues and her love is teaching. While serving as the director of Gerry's House, she will also be completing a year-long ACPE residency with St. Vincent's Charity Medical Center.
Minister for Credentialing & Interim Ministry Placement

Kurt currently serves as pastor at Ridge Road United Church of Christ in Parma. Before moving to northeast Ohio, Kurt served as an Overseas Associate with the Common Global Ministries Board of the UCC/Disciples of Christ in Bangalore, India. While in India, Kurt served as an Associate Pastor at St. John's Church of South India and assisted at the United Theological College, a seminary training pastors. Kurt received an M.Div from Eden Theological Seminary, was ordained in 1988 and has served congregations in Iowa and Pennsylvania. He is married to Mary Schaller Blaufuss and has three children.
